We're self-publishing my father's scrabble book, Play Better Scrabble, next week. My father published in the 1980s and sold 5,000 copies by post and at scrabble tournaments. We've completed redesigned the book with new colour images and given it more room to breathe. The orginal book was a small, dense affair.

To launch the book we're playing scrabble at Chance and Counters, a board game cafe in Bristol. We'll be giving away free books to whoever beats us at a game. We'll also be contacting news outlets. The book will go on sale next week and be available through all the major online stores. It might even get picked up for sale in bookshops.
